Time for the PTA's Annual Fun Run FUNdraising Event!

The Piney Ridge PTA needs your support. The Fun Run is our only major fundraiser for the year. The proceeds from this event benefit all the children of Piney Ridge by funding very important programs such as Cultural Arts, the Science Fair, Field Trips and much more.

Please be on the lookout for the collection envelopes that will be coming home with your child and assist them in collecting pledges. Inside the envelope will be a donation letter which you may photocopy and send to friends and family encouraging them to make a tax deductible donation.

*We are looking for 10 volunteers to help the day of the Fun Run. If you are available and would like to volunteer please complete and return the Fun Run Volunteer form (from the September newsletter) in your child’s SOS folder.
* All volunteers must have Volunteer Training.

Committee Description:
  • The Fun Run, which occurs during the school day, is our main PTA fund-raising event in which the students collect pledges from the community for walking or running a pre-determined course for a certain period of time, while learning about a theme at informational stations. Students collect the pledges before the day of the event. Incentives are given for certain amounts of money earned for the PTA.
  • The Fun Run committee works over the summer to determine the theme for the event and to work on the informational stations. They determine and organize all of the incentive gifts. Many PTA volunteers are needed the day of the event to work at the informational stations and to help with money collection and counting.
