It is time for the PTA's Annual Fun Run FUNdraising Event!
Donation envelopes are going home with your child beginning 9/20. PLEASE help them collect donations
to return the day of the Fun Run. The electronic form is available here to request donations.

The Fun Run is our only major fundraiser for the year. The proceeds from this event benefit all the children
of Piney Ridge by funding very important programs such as Cultural Arts, the Science Fair, Field Trips
and much more.
The Fun Run, which occurs during the school day, is our only major PTA fund-raising event in which the
students collect pledges from the community for walking or running a pre-determined course for a
certain period of time, while learning about a select theme at informational stations. Students
collect the pledges before the day of the event. Incentives are given for certain amounts of money
earned for the PTA. Soon after school starts, children will receive a collection envelope with instructions
for collecting tax-deductible donations.
We still need LOTS of volunteers. Volunteer training must be completed prior to 9/23 to help with the Fun Run.

appreciated and any time is welcome! I will post the times for the Fun Run by grade as soon as they are available so you
know what time your child is participating.

The Fun Run committee works over the summer to determine the theme for the event and to work on the informational
stations. They determine and organize all of the incentive gifts. Many PTA volunteers are needed the day of
the event to work at the informational stations and to help with money collection and counting.
