- Committee Description:
- Participating students prepare a science fair project to be displayed on tri-fold cardboard. They submit
their science questions to be published in a program. At the event three “visiting scientists” will visit
each student, ask them questions about their project, and give them written positive feedback. At the end
of the event each student is recognized and given a ribbon.
- The Science Fair committee organizes this November event. With its initial flyer, the committee determines
which students are interested in participating. To the participating students, the committee sends home
the science experiment information, t-shirt and cardboard displays, recruits “visiting scientists” (teachers
and parents) to evaluate each science experiment, and prepares a printed program showing where each student’s
display is to be set up. On the evening of the event, the committee sets up and breaks down the tables in the
cafeteria and gym, checks in scientists, hands out brochures at the door, and provides refreshments during the event.
- The PTA provides funds for this event.
